Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)

Polycon GFRC Panels

< back to façade systems

Polycon, proudly crafted in the Czech Republic, is the epitome of GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) excellence. The hand-sprayed premixed GFRC panels are a high-performance concrete system fortified with multiple layers of resilient glass fibers. GFRC’s versatility knows no bounds, enabling limitless possibilities in textures, shapes, and colors.

GFRC combines essential cement, fine aggregates, water, resilient glass fibers, and specialized additives. This unique blend delivers outstanding attributes: superior hardness, strength, durability, extended lifespan, ductility, and Class A1 fire resistance. GFRC retains these qualities, ensuring top-tier results that meet both aesthetic and functional demands.

Unleash your creativity with GFRC in both exterior and interior applications. Imprinted matrices make it effortless to achieve diverse surface finishes, ideal for cladding, paneling, intricate architectural elements, and bespoke designs.

Bid farewell to the constraints of size; GFRC products eliminate wastage and budget concerns, ensuring cost-effective projects every time. Choose GFRC for world-class quality that sets your projects apart.

  • Possibilities of Use

Glass fiber reinforced concrete Polycon can be used efficiently in the design and implementation of building elements not only in the exterior but also in the interior design.

  • Surface & Look

The surface structure of the material can have a unique design or form of one of the hundreds of basic surfaces offered (wood imprint, stone, sandblasted surface …).

  • Color

Polycon elements can be made in natural color or painted pigment according to client’s requests and wishes.

Lightweight & Durable GFRC

The product allows for a lightweight but incredibly strong and durable façade element in a non-combustible form. Architects have fallen in love around the world with GFRC for their ability to completely customize their façade panels. Since the product can be formed in multiple dimensions, the requirement for joints can be minimized or eliminated.

GFRC Possibilities of Use

Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) tiles bring freedom, creativity and natural harmony to architecture. The variability of this material creates the space for the individual and unique realization of each project without any boundaries and limitations.

The GFRC façade tiles can be in the shape of a flat plate or shaped element – lining, window shutters, aticles, corners, shutters, etc. Glass fiber reinforced concrete elements are produced as one piece according to the client’s size requirements.

GFRC Textured Surfaces

GFRC products can mimic nearly any textured surface. We can also provide custom perforations based on the designers ideas. And since the product is made from natural materials, the façade will naturally progress in color and will offer a natural variation across panels on the façade. The top layer can have a structure of wood, aggregate, masonry, geometric patterns, ribs, waves, and many others.

GFRC - Graphic Concrete ™

Graphic concrete ™ technology is based on the innovation of the interior designer Samuli Naamanka. It allows the application of a retarder to the surface of a special membrane to which GFRC is subsequently applied. This method provides designers with a new range of high-quality moldings and GFRC boards.
